Jun Liu , a Xinghua Distinguished Chair Professor at Tsinghua University and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences. He obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from Peking University in 1985 and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Chicago in 1991. Since 2000, Liu Jun has been a tenured professor in the Department of Statistics at Harvard University, and concurrently served as a professor in the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard from 2003 to 2015.
