To enrich the academic activities of the 4th Joint Conference on Statistics and Data Science, promote academic exchanges between teachers and students in the fields of statistics and data science, and build a high-level learning platform, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics is scheduled to host the Short Courses of the 4th Joint Conference on Statistics and Data Science from July 5 to 9, 2026.
A total of 10 renowned experts and scholars in statistics and data science from home and abroad have been specially invited to deliver lectures for these short courses. The course content covers a variety of cutting-edge and core fields, including agent-based models and statistical theory, tensors and high-dimensional time series analysis, generative models and statistical inference, model ensembling and optimization strategies, statistical reinforcement learning and large model applications, causal inference and spectral methods, etc. Senior undergraduates, master’s/doctoral students, and young teachers from home and abroad are warmly welcome to register for the courses.

Course Schedule and Expert Profiles
The short courses will last for 5 days in total. Each day, two experts in the fields of statistics and data science will deliver 3 hours of lectures respectively in the morning and afternoon. The course schedule and expert profiles (in the order of courses) are as follows.




Target Participants and Enrollment Scale
This program is primarily intended for young teachers, students, and scholars in the fields of statistics and data science from home and abroad, including:

  • Senior undergraduates (third-year undergraduates and above);
  • Master’s/doctoral students;
  • Young teachers and young scholars.
The enrollment target for this session of short courses is set at 150–200 participants.


Registration Instructions
1.Registration Method: Please scan the QR code at the end of this document to complete your registration.
2.Deadline: The registration deadline is April 30, 2026. We recommend filling in your information as early as possible.
3.Admission Method: Upon the approval of application materials, admissions will be processed on a rolling basis—applications will be reviewed in the order of submission until all vacancies are filled. Admission notices will be sent to successful applicants via email.
4.Training Fee: Participants are required to pay a training fee of RMB 1,000 within 10 working days after receiving the admission notice. Detailed payment methods will be specified in the admission email, and registration will be deemed officially completed upon receipt of payment.
5.Accommodation and Meals Arrangement: During the course, accommodation and meals will be arranged uniformly by the conference organizing committee, with the costs to be borne by the participants themselves.
